On today's podcast, we’re joined by Kylie Loveday. Kylie is an actress, singer, voice over artist, and academic. Immediately following school, Kylie completed a Bachelor of Psychology at Wollongong University and graduated with first class honors.

She then started her first PhD in the field of psychology but soon realized that an “office life” was not going to bring her true happiness.

Kylie knew deep down that she was a performer at heart so then studied at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts in Sydney.

While starting her professional acting career Kylie realized that she still wanted to do more. She wanted to bring evidenced-based practice to acting performance. To do this, Kylie started a cross disciplinary PhD specializing in both psychology and the performing arts.

In doing her PhD, Kylie has pioneered a new research field by bringing science to the arts. Her research findings have not only benefited her own acting career, but she is now helping other actors learn how to perform at their peak through “Creating Artist”, an acting coaching business that Kylie and her partner run. Their mission is to provide actors clear and scientifically supported performance tools.

These tools encompass script analysis, mental alignment, and peak performance.
